Abraar School in Ottawa, Canada is currently recruiting for a Full Time School Principal.
- Abraar School is a full time Islamic school that has served the Muslim Community in Ottawa, Canada for more than 10 years. The School currently accepts students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.
- Abraar School has consistently ranked in the top schools of the Ottawa area, and at the provincial level in Ontario, in its standardized test scores. For the 2009 year, Abraar ranked as #4 among all Ottawa elementary schools - public and private. It has also made a very strong showing in regional science and robotics competitions, ranking as champion several years in a row.

Requirements
- Bachelors in Social Science with Principal Qualification or Masters in Education
- At least 5 years of experience in a classroom setting and/or school administration
- Strong understanding of the Muslim Faith
- Ontario Teaching Certificate or be eligible for one
- Personable with strong leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent ability to motivate
- Accountability for self and others
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing strong leadership for the long-term success of the Abraar institution
- Efficiently operating the facility and school organization
- Consistently implementing best practices in education, curriculum, and assessments
- Recruitment, development and management of teachers and support staff
- Creating a strong structure and working environment for the school
- Establishing a positive, healthy, and safe work environment
- Administering rules, standards and procedures governing colleagues and student body
- Implementing school board’s policies and directives
- Developing and implementing programs relating to moral and Islamic values
- Working with colleagues, parents, school board and stakeholders
- Encouraging parent participation with events and to support school goals
- Implementing fundraising and volunteering strategies, programs and events
- Improving performance of revenue sources
- Overseeing the school website and all communications
